Virginia Tech Shooting

FIRST AND FOREMOST, I WANT TO LET YOU KNOW THAT THIS BLOG IS IN NO WAY TO DOWNPLAY THE INCIDENTS THAT OCCURRED MONDAY, APRIL 16, IN BLACKSBURG, VA!!!

I am feeling the same feelings that everyone else is feeling. Obviously I have never lost a child, but I have lost my best friend in a car wreck without a chance to ever truly say goodbye. I know that these families are searching, searching for answers for a multitude of different questions. My heart goes out to those that lost loved ones in yesterdays horrible incident. It is truly a tragedy, and the healing process for most will be slow and deeply painful.

I am so fed up with our country's media! People have died, others are injured, and thousands are searching for answers. But in a time where everyone on the news says the healing process will begin, how can anything begin with all this second guessing that the media keeps trying to feed us on a silver platter and expect everyone to believe and think about.

I for one see right through all this crap that the media is trying to pull over on us. The media keeps asking why wasn't the campus shutdown? Why did it take so long for a email to be sent out?
The police responded to the shooting at the residence hall, and did what they deemed appropriate. They treated the situation as isolated, and took the appropriate steps, that they have in place for VT Police Dept. Once the second shooting began, they acted quickly and did everything in their power to halt the situation.

There are numerous other questions that the media keeps raising - no matter what the situation - the media always pulls this crap.

I for one am sick of the media turning this into a bigger problem, people are dead! Families are in shock! The nation is mourning! Media for once, find a way to be respectful and truly let the healing process begin that you keep referring to so much!

I am behind the Administration and Police Department at Va Tech - they took the steps that they felt were appropriate.
